7-8:30pm "Ancestry.com - Discover the Power" presented by Tamara Noe
Do you sometimes feel lost with how to use Ancestry.com? Sometimes there are so many results from a search that you fell overwhelmed and many of the results don't seem relevant. This presentation will address those concerns by showing the many filtering tools available and some tools and techniques to use to outsmart transcription errors. Also covered will be how to navigate the location searches, the card catalog, family trees, message boards, and the gems you'll find in the learning center.
Tamara Noe has beena volunteer at the Sacramento Regional Family History Center for 11 years and is currently serving as a supervisor, instructor, and staff trainer. She is also writer for and the current editor of the Roseville Genealogical Society's newsletter. She has been teaching genealogy classes as well as PowerPoint classes for the past 6 years.
