Waaaaaay back in November Root Cellar Sacramento Genealogical Society had a great presentation from Tamara Noe about Ancestry.com. Alot of great information and she ended with a good session of Q&A. There is so much about Ancestry to learn and then try. Yes, you need to try the suggestions otherwise it is lost. So if you haven't tried some of her hints and tips, do it.
With that said our wonderful Program Chair Carolee Jones scheduled Tamara for a second night of Ancestry.com on January 9, 2014. This will be geared toward the advanced searches and getting the most for your time on Ancestry.
WHEN: January 9, 2014 7pm
WHERE: Christ Community Church, 5025 Manzanita Ave, Carmichael, CA
PROGRAM: Ancestry.com with Tamara Noe
Getting millions of results from a search on Ancestry.com is only fun once, before you realize that most of them don’t make any sense at all. Knowing how to filter on Ancestry.com is the key to having better results. Learn where, how, when, and when not to filter. Many examples, including live searching, will be used in this class ......... more information
DON'T FORGET there is a pre-meeting gathering starting at 6:15pm (or when you get there). The planned discussion is "Which online genealogy databases do you use?"
