Root Cellar Board Meeting
10:00 am to 12:00 pm
Sylvan Community Center - Members are welcome. Come, listen and let your voice be heard. We need those options, choices and new ideas.
 
Legacy Family Tree software Special Interest Group (SIG)
1pm - 3pm with Marian Kile  (first Thursday of Month)

Alot going on with this committee. But we can always use more help. You know those records that you are looking for in another state, we'll as we are extracting those same records here, we hope someone in another state is doing the same. You can see why it is important to join in, it is not difficult, hand writting might be a challenge, but there is lots of support to help you. Find out if you would like to do this.

Root Cellar Membership Meeting

*6:15 to 7:00 PM Pre-Meeting Open Discussion - "Documenting, Preserving and Displaying your Family Treasurers"
7:00 to 8:30 PM Show and Tell - Members share their Genealogical Treasures. Bring something from an ancestor- it could be something as simple as a spoon or fork, a glass, book, clothing, etc...  share the story behind the object. It really is alot of fun and you learn alot of interesting things too.
Plus time permitting - Program TBA by Glenda Gardner Lloyd - Glenda always provides helpful genealogical information.
Visitors Welcome!
Glenda Gardner Lloyd is a fourth generation Californian. She has been teaching genealogy classes for San Juan Adult Education since 1983. She teaches workshops for many local genealogy societies, local seminars, Family History Day at the Archives, and the Sacramento Public Library. She is an active member of ROOT CELLAR and served as its first president.

I don't have anyone in Northern California but I do it because I am sure that someone like me is extracting information I need in Stark County Ohio or Allegheny, Allegheny Co. Pennsylvania OR ... well, you get the idea............ We meet every Friday AM. Come one Friday, come every one or as many as you can.

Share your successful finds and brickwalls. What is a brickwall? You have been researching a person, or family and have exhausted your searches and can't think of what to do next. That is a brickwall. Bring it to the workshop and share it and get some ideas of what to do next. You would be surprised what sharing with others with do. The session may include a webinar and/or a demo of a research tool. Guests welcome
