Editor's note: Today's post was written by Sandra Gardner-Benward

DID YOU KNOW..........?

There are 5 Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays  in August

                                         ........ so what you say!

5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays, 5 Sundays in August only happens every 823 years. So if you miss August 2014 you can catch it again August 2837.

  1. Sorry Sandra, but this is incorrect. It is much more common than once every 823 years!

The next time this happens in August is in 2025, just 11 years from now. Any month with 31 days that starts on a Friday will have 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays, and 5 Sundays.

For example: There are 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays, and 5 Sundays in May 2015. And in January and July of 2016. And then in December 2017.

It simply is NOT a rare occurrence.
