Tuesday's Tip: Look! LooK! Root Cellar at the NGS

Editor's note: Today's post was written by Sandra Gardner-Benward and Carolee Jones with photos thanks to Carolee.

Again, we have more communication from our own Carolee Jones letting us know more about her experiences at the NGS Conference, Missouri.

Carolee:
"Friday was again packed full of information in each session I attended.  Everything from Virginia research while sitting at home, using digitized images to trace slave documents, discovering Missouri territorial records, learning about our ancestors day to day life, and finding Missouri ancestors who were born in Kentucky.

A very full day which included looking at the brochures on the freebie tables, including Root Cellar’s brochure, receiving one month free subscriptions to Mocavo and Find My Past to viewing helpful hints at the Ancestry booth.
There we are, Root Cellar Brochures at the
 National  Conference, Thanks Carolee.
a glance in the exhibit hall.............

At the NGS dinner I learned there were 2,575 attendees at this conference.  The guest speaker, John P. Colletta, was excellent with his presentation of “Why Great-Grandpa Shaved Off His Mustache: Tales of Our Ancestors and the Weather”.
